Testing season is upon us. For the next two weeks, Hoover will be in full CST mode. Because of the CST's, the students will not be having homework for the next two weeks. We will continue with our usual vocabulary curriculum and novel reading, but all work will be done in class.

Welcome back from spring break!!! I hope that your break went well. During the break I flew up to Oregon to help my Mom prepare for her move to California. It was wonderful to have her chillaquiles and homemade salsa.

8th grade: "One Survivor Remembers"

8th grade has begun a research unit on the Holocaust which includes a reading of the play adapted from Anne Frank's diary. We first took notes on the background of the time period and have watched a documentary called "One Survivor Remembers". The students had to answer questions while watching the documentary. The question form can be downloaded here.

7th- Graph and Gram
